Laboratory-diagnostic clinic includes laboratories of clinical biochemistry, microbiology, endocrinology, as well as the laboratory of clinical investigations, where all the necessary scope of investigations are fulfilled. Diagnostics of STDs and IUI (intrauterine infections) became one of the new directions of laboratory activity. Using immune-ferment analyses we perform serological diagnostics of chlamydia, herpes, toxoplasmosis, cytomegalovirus. Recently, polymerize chain reaction method (PCR) was implemented, that significantly increased the power of the laboratory. Currently PCR is known to be the most effective method in the diagnostics of majority of infectious diseases. Pathomorphological laboratory performs express-diagnostics of surgical and biopsy samples. Endometrial and endocervical swabs are examined for treatment and diagnostics reasons in cases of infertility, dishormonal, pre-tumor and tumor diseases, as well as placental tissue and fatal parts in case of miscarriage. Oncological cytology of the cervical swabs is done in order to reveal pre-cancerous diseases. In the endocrine laboratory the investigations of protein and steroid hormones are performed using immune-ferment analyses (IFA). Also the quantity of 17KS and DEA are measured in day urine. Staff of the laboratory participates in the scientific projects that are accomplished in collaboration with WHO. Doctors, working in the laboratory, are authors of tens of research works. | |
